I had a wonderful time driving with Lee S! He is extremely friendly, calming, and thorough. I got the opportunity to practice many new skills, as well as build on ones I had already been working on. I feel a lot more confident after my lesson with him!

A few months ago, I had Ron for my third driving lesson and it was terrible. When we were pulling out of the driveway he pushed the breaks on his side and said "annnnnddd failed." When I looked at him, he told me, "you didn't wait for me to put on my seatbelt" although we were already in the car for two minutes at least and I had already started the car. I tried not to let that interfere with how I felt during my lesson, but he kept on stressing me out. We went into the parking lot of a grocery store (which was pretty empty) and asked me to pull in to a certain space. From my view, it looked like he was asking me to pull into another one. I pulled into the one that I thought he asked me to do, and got mad at me. When I told him that I was confused on what he meant, he said "I SPECIFICALLY asked you to pull into this one. I WAS SPECIFIC ON MY INSTRUCTIONS." He then told me to pull out. Another time in the lesson, he said to me "Do you want to know why I expect perfection? I had a student who asked me 'why do you want us to be perfect with our parking?' And you know what? He FAILED his driving test". Overall, he made that lesson extremely stressful for me, even causing me to start crying. Although he did apologize to me for being harsh, his apology didn't feel that genuine. He handed me tissues with a straight face and apologized for being harsh. But then he laughed and told me "The DMV agents aren't gonna be any better!" Overall, that lesson messed made me feel less confident in how I drove, which I believe is the opposite of what this driving school values. For my fourth lesson, I was supposed to have it at the Westport location. However it got cancelled and rescheduled a week before the lesson, which I understand doesn't go against the driving school policy. I got rescheduled to the Fairfield location and honestly, the environment felt less stressful there. I just took my driving test today. I took it at the Fairfield location as well, and it was my first time ever taking the test. And I passed. I wasn't absolutely 1000% perfect at it, but the DMV agent told me I passed. Ron made me so worried about my driving during my third lesson. It was so traumatic for me, that I lost so much confidence in my driving skills. He expected me to be absolutely perfect with it that it put too much pressure on me in that car ride. And I understand if maybe he had a bad day or just woke up on the wrong side of bed or something, but he should never talk to any of his students like that again. If you are a Westport resident deciding which driving school to put you or your child into, I cannot recommend this one.
