Behind-the-Wheel Driving Lessons in West Springfield, MA
There’s no substitute for real road experience. And in West Springfield, that means navigating everything from busy Route 5 intersections to neighborhood streets near Memorial Avenue. Our driving lessons are designed for exactly that: building the real-world driving skills you’ll use in your day-to-day life.
Each lesson is a private, 2-hour appointment with a certified instructor in one of our dual-controlled vehicles, all of which have a 5-star safety rating. You’ll practice driving skills like accelerating, braking, turning, and parking. Once you graduate from the basics, we’ll also teach you how to:
- Choose the appropriate lane
- Manage your speed on different roads
- Drive in both urban and rural areas
- Confidently drive on hills
- Safely navigate the highway

Driver’s License Road Test at The Next Street | West Springfield, MA
Test day doesn’t have to be stressful. Skip the RMV entirely and test in a more familiar environment. At our West Springfield location, you’ll use our vehicle with a TNS test host on hand to answer last-minute questions and help calm any nerves. We handle all the paperwork ahead of time, and the RMV agent comes directly to us to evaluate students.

Driver’s License Road Test at the RMV (With TNS Car + Sponsor)
Prefer to take your driver’s license test at the RMV? No problem. Use our state-approved vehicle and have a TNS instructor serve as your sponsor on test day. No need to find a car, no confusion about what to bring. Just show up ready to drive! RMV branches also tend to have earlier appointment availability, which can get you your license sooner.

I’d like to shout out two wonderful instructors here – Ally Rougemont and Alex Rodriguez. These two were the best of the best, they were the perfect mix of letting me learn the hard way and being able to explain lessons in depth – they only stepped in when they really felt I needed it and I think that’s the only way to properly learn how to drive.
