In Massachusetts, you can start driver’s ed 3 months before your 16th birthday. All new drivers under 18 must complete a 30-hour classroom program including the parent class, 12 hours of driving lessons plus 6 hours of observation lessons with a professional driving school and hold their permit for 180 days. Teen new drivers need 40 hours of supervised driving practice with a parent, qualified trainer, or professional driving instructor. After meeting these requirements, you can take the road test to obtain your driver’s license
Our Massachusetts Driver’s Ed programs combine classroom instruction and behind-the-wheel lessons to help new drivers build skills, confidence, and road readiness.
Classes are offered regularly with evening and weekend options, and lessons can be scheduled at locations across MA. Miss a class? No problem — we make it easy to stay on track.
We offer Driver’s Ed programs and driving lessons at locations across Massachusetts, including Chicopee, Natick, West Springfield, Northampton, Longmeadow, Amherst, Worcester, Greenfield and more.
