We appreciate your patience as we work through reopening challenges. We are prioritizing existing students for lessons and tests. Currently, there is a 3-4 month wait for lessons and 5 month wait for driving tests for new enrollments. We plan on adding more schedule availability for lessons and tests each week. If you are not in need of immediate service, it would help us a ton if you wait to call into our call center until after July 15th. We promise we are getting to everyone, but it is taking us some time to catch up with a limited, remote staff. Click here for all information on Driver's Ed during Covid-19.

When should we enroll?
To participate in the Drive to Work program, you must call to enroll in a course before April 30th, 2020. The course you enroll in can begin any time, as long as you have called to enroll before April 30, 2020.

Does the 8 Hour Class include any driving lessons?
The 8 Hour Safe Driving Class does not include any private driving lessons, however, they can be purchased at any time. Students participating in the Drive to Work program are responsible for purchasing their own private driving lessons. Driving lessons can be purchased online via the Student Portal or over the phone by calling 860.631.4292.

How do we skip classes?
Just don't come! You can schedule makeups for any class you missed, or any class you know you can't make, in our Student Portal. You will get a username and password as soon as you call to enroll.

Do I have to schedule the makeups, or can I just show up?
We strongly recommend scheduling ahead of time so we can make sure we have enough seats for everyone. But it is not required.

Why is this only offered to 11th grade students?
At this time, this pilot program is to help 11th grade students be more successful in their 12th grade work study opportunities. Though you are not eligible to receive the voucher, we will honor the $100 price for the 8 Hour Safe Driving Course for any student of any grade at any of the CT Technical High Schools

Why isn't this program offered at my school?
At this time, this is a pilot program to test the improved ability to get and keep a job because of a driver's license. We hope that the program is successful and that we are able to expand the offering to the other Technical High Schools. Though you are not able to receive the voucher, we will honor the $100 8 Hour Safe Driving Course Price for any student of any grade at any of the CT Technical High Schools.
