License Testing Host Job Description
We are looking for someone that can devote 20 to 30 hours a week to being a Testing Host. The hours and days scheduled will fluctuate from week to week, and is sometimes not known until a week prior.
One of this position’s responsibilities is working from any of our seven testing locations (some of which are 90 minutes away) to facilitate and run The Next Street’s driver’s license tests. Many days require a very early AM start to make sure you are the first one at the testing location, to meet the DMV testing Agent and greet every one of the 15 students that will be testing that day. We are looking for someone that is outgoing and energetic, and will work to build a great relationship with the DMV agents. You will also be responsible for helping nervous teens calm their last minute fears, assist with any last minute questions and provide empathy if they fail. The best part is celebrating with them and their parents when they pass!
The secondary responsibility includes either picking up students from their house and driving them to the DMV or simply meeting students at the DMV in order to have them use our car to test in. Again, being able to help calm last minute fears, answer last minute questions and provide empathy if they fail is a must.
The Testing Department is a crucial part of The Next Street and is the last step for our students. The Testing Department is the last interaction many students have with The Next Street and our goal is to make that impression and the entire testing process as easy and stress free as possible.
